Duas to seek a righteous spouse in Islam

Assalamu alaikum dear brothers and sisters ✨,

Eid is a time of joy, reflection, and renewed connection with Allah ﷻ. It’s a moment when hearts soften, prayers rise, and hopes are reborn. And what better time than this blessed occasion to turn to the One who holds all hearts — asking for one that will lead you closer to Him?

If you are seeking a righteous spouse, know that your dua is powerful — and it could be the very beginning of something beautiful.

Dua is Your Superpower

When you raise your hands to Allah ﷻ, you are speaking directly to the One who already knows your heart. Your longing is heard, your sincerity is seen, and your patience is never wasted.

"Call upon Me; I will respond to you."
[Surah Ghafir, 40:60]

Every sincere dua brings you one step closer to what is written for you. Never underestimate the power of your voice in sujood.

Ask for What Truly Matters

When making dua for a spouse, don’t just ask for love — ask for purpose, faith, and tranquility. Ask for someone who will help you build a home that leads to Jannah.

What to ask for in your dua:

  • Someone who strengthens your deen
  • Good character and a soft, kind heart
  • A relationship full of barakah
  • Patience, love, and mutual understanding

This is a journey of the soul, not just the heart. Make your dua reflect that.

Duas from the Qur'an & Sunnah

Here are powerful duas to include in your supplications this Eid, each filled with wisdom and sincerity:

1. Dua for a righteous spouse

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Rabbi hab li min as-salihin

"My Lord, grant me [a child/spouse] from among the righteous."

[Surah As-Saffat, 37:100]

2. Dua for love, tranquility & mercy

Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyyatina qurrata a'yunin waj'alna lil-muttaqina imama

"Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and offspring the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the righteous."

[Surah Al-Furqan, 25:74]

3. Dua when seeking good in a decision

اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ خَيْرٌ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي...

Allahumma in kunta ta'lamu anna hadha al-amra khayrun li fi dini wa ma'ashi...

"O Allah, if this matter is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and my affairs, then decree it for me..."

[Sahih Muslim, 780]

These are not just words — they are sincere calls from the heart, rooted in revelation.

Trust in Allah’s ﷻ Timing

Making dua is only part of the journey. The other part is tawakkul — placing your full trust in Allah ﷻ. He sees what you cannot, and His plan is always better than your own.

"And whoever fears Allah — He will make for him a way out."
[Surah At-Talaq, 65:2]

When the time is right, what’s meant for you will find you. Keep your heart open, your intentions pure, and your faith firm.

A Final Reminder

May Allah ﷻ bless you this Eid with answered duas, comforted hearts, and a future filled with barakah. May He grant every believer a righteous spouse who is a garment for their faith, a comfort for their eyes, and a partner in the journey to Jannah. Ameen.
